Job Description:

This position requires a skilled welder to join our dynamic team. The individual must be mechanically inclined, possess outstanding attention to detail, and have knowledge of welding machinery and manual tools. They will specialize in custom fabrication of truck trailers and parts. On-the-job training is provided.


Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and metal seams
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Use of various stationary power tools & equipment
  • Use of basic measuring tools
  • Light to heavy lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Maintain a clean & safe workstation and work environment


Required skills: 

  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, basic measuring tools, and machinery
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
  • Deftness and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively to ensure product flow to next workstation
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work at various heights & handle heavy loads
  • Ability to contribute to a teamwork environment
  • Clear and concise communication skills

Pay: $18 - $22 per hour
