Human Resources & Payroll Administrator

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a Payroll & HR Administrator, who will be responsible for maintaining adherence to accurate payroll and benefits administration, and local human resources support.


Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare weekly payroll and process year end T4’s.
  • Process transactions such as new employees, terminations, and employee changes.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries concerning payroll, benefits, employment standards, reference letters requested, staff files, etc.
  • Process group benefit applications and assist employees with submitting claims.
  • Collect and screen resumes, coordinate interviews and conduct new hire orientations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience: 

  • Two years of administration experience in a busy office environment
  • Basic accounting knowledge (debits/credits)
  • Experience processing Payroll and related administration
  • Experience with the HR recruitment process an asset
  • Payroll or HR related post-secondary education an asset
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry an asset

  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices preferred
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 42.5-hour work week. (Must be able to commute between Coleman and Bloomfield locations.)

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
