General Labourer

 

Job Description:     

This position requires a General Labourer to take up manual labour tasks and support operations in our manufacturing plant. The individual must be mechanically inclined, be able to multitask, and must be willing to undertake any role assigned to them.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:       

  • Use of various power tools and machinery to assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts
  • Use of basic measuring tools
  • Assist welders, finishers, or other tradespeople on the shop floor
  • Inspect finished trailers for proper quality, alignment, and functioning
  • Handle and transport materials and equipment
  • Light, basic welding duties
  • Light to heavy lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Maintain a clean workstation and production floor


This position will evolve, and additional duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as required throughout the course of employment.

 

Required skills:

  • Willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
  • Ability to contribute to a teamwork environment
  • Ability to contribute to a safe and organized work environment
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work while wearing all safety gear and obey safety rules of the shop
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in various heights
  • Clear and concise communication skills
